Bright Futures Scholarship (Florida)

Three level of awards are available based on general requirements and academic requirements including GPA, test scores, coursework and community service. Must complete the FFAA. For specific requirements and how to apply, go to: http://www.floridastudentfinancialaid.org/SSFAD/bf/bfmain.htm

Christian & Hymas General Scholarship

Must be currently enrolled in or have been accepted to a US college/university; have a min. 3.5 GPA; must submit transcript; and write 300-700 essay. For more information and to apply, go to website. Amount: $1,000 / Grade 12

Jan La Belle Scholarship

The Jan La Belle Scholarship Program 2016-2017

 

The Jan La Belle Scholarship Program was established in 2009 to provide a financial resource to individuals with disabilities who desire to pursue their personal and career goals through attendance at a post-secondary institution.

 

The 2016 application period for 2016-2017 is from December 15th, 2016

 through February 14th, 2017.

The winner will be announced May 15th.

 

One or more Jan La Belle Scholarship winners are selected annually for a total possible non-renewable award. Award amounts are based on several factors, including available funds and number of eligible applicants. The Jan La Belle Scholarship offers the following two application options for individuals with disabilities:

Option A - Academic (Standard Diploma)

 

  • Meeting of all Florida FSA standards or approved Disability Portfolio;**
  • Community service leadership or involvement; and
  • Receipt of any other scholarship awards.

 

 

 

Option B - Career or Trade Skill Development

 

  • Accomplishments in field of interest;
  • Community service leadership or involvement; and
  • Receipt of any other scholarship awards.

 

Award Restrictions

 

  • A 2.5 GPA must be maintained at a post-secondary institution during the period of the scholarship award.
  • No criminal activity, arrests or convictions may occur.
  • Acceptable attendance must be maintained.

 

Eligible applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

 

  • Applicant must be an individual with a disability.
  • Applicant must be a Florida resident.
  • Applicant must be an individual 16 to 24 years of age who is entering as a first-time student at any institution of higher learning, whether academic or vocational.

 

 

 

Eligible applicants must also provide the following documents:

 

  • Two letters of reference from someone other than a family member, relative, or personal friend. Suggestions include: a current or former teacher, employer, etc. The content of the letters should address your commitment to learning, personal or professional advancement, and service;
  • Verification of Disability Form (form is attached as part of this application);
  • High School Transcript; and
  • Proof of accomplishments, including in field of interest, such as certificates, awards, letters of commendation, post-secondary acceptance letters, etc.

Skin Care Ox Scholarship

Our scholarship is called The Beauty + Wellness Scholarship for Women and each quarter we award $1,000 + a care package filled with healthy organic goodies to young women who are striving to maintain their health and wellness as they pursue their higher education goals. 

 

Here is a brief summary of the eligibility requirements:

  • Award: $1,000
  • Quarterly Deadlines: January 1, March 31st, June 30th, and September 30th every year
  • Eligibility:

        + Must be a graduating high school senior, current college undergraduate, or current graduate student at a 4-year, 2-year, vocational, or      technical school in the United States.

        + Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

        + Must identify as female.

        + We welcome all majors and GPAs to apply!

Minimum GPA Requirements:

 

Undergraduate - 3.5 GPA, 1250 SAT 28 ACT Graduate - 3.25

 

The Scholarship Covers the following costs:

-Tuition and fees (including Summer)

-Funds for textbooks and course materials

-Housing and meal plans for each semester
